Gulf Coast Avengers
Dimensional Deviant and known criminal.
Demi Broderick is the daughter of millionaire Michael Broderick of Broderick Pharmaceuticals. Her mother was a notable doctor in the Dallas area. She was born to a life of privilege and private schools. Her parents doted on her constantly, spoiling her rotten. She was accustomed to having anything she wanted and was destined to take over her father’s fortune.
It was in her sophomore year that strange things began to happen. At first it was little things, they would simply appear in her hand when she thought about them. She soon found that she could also teleport herself to places that she had been. She kept all of this hidden from her friends and family. Demi graduated from high school and went on to college.
While Demi was at the university of Texas, she began to party instead of going to class. She spent a lot of time being the popular girl again. It all came crashing down when her father told her he was going to cut her off if she didn’t improve. Demi did for a while, but when the grades came out it wasn’t good enough and Dad cancelled her credit cards. Demi’s social life completely collapsed. Her friends ditched her since she was no longer the life of the party. Even her boyfriend Jeremy said he just wanted to be friends, a sure sign the relationship was over. The final straw was when her Porsche was repo’d and she had an eviction notice on her apartment door.
Demi wanted everything back and she knew one way she could do it; she had to use her powers. At first it was little things, like jewelry and electronics, but that wouldn’t pay the rent. Demi needed cash; she had an idea. She just needed to see the inside of a bank vault. Demi hatched a plan. She decided to pretend to get a safety deposit box for her latest acquisitions so the bank officer would show her the vault. That night she opened a dimension door into the vault and stole what she needed and left a thank you note signed “D”. The surveillance images only showed her profile and the investigators are at a dead end. The papers dubbed her the “D-girl”.
Demi now leads a life of luxury; she is still going to college and gets great grades. She steals anything she needs including the answers to exams. Her dad thinks cutting her off was the best thing he could have done for her. Demi on the other hand plans to make him pay for that.
